Barry County deputies capture man accused of killing girlfriend, kidnapping 2-year-old

A man accused of murdering his girlfriend, kidnapping their two-year-old son and critically injuring her grandfather, in in custody after being captured by Barry County deputies.

Deputies say suspect Christopher Paschall, of Arkansas, shot and killed his estranged girlfriend, critically injured her grandfather then took their two-year-old and fled.

"The S.W.A.T. team got involved, surrounded the house," said Mick Epperly, Barry County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff tells us that Paschall was taken into custody at his mothers home in Springdale, Arkansas.

"We deal with a lot of this throughout our career and everything, but for the family, they've been harassed by this guy. There's been ex-partes filed. We've done extra patrol in the area, you know? For this and, it's a terrible deal for the family and I feel for the family," said Sheriff Epperly.

The two-year-old was unharmed. Her grandfather was rushed to a Springfield hospital from the scene of his home along Farm Road 1055.
