Trial date set for former principal's lawsuit against C. J. Huff, Angie Besendorfer

Anyone hoping for a quick resolution to former Royal Heights Principal Larry Masters wrongful termination lawsuit against Joplin R-8 Superintendent C. J. Huff and former assistant superintendents Angie Besendorfer and Steve Doerr is going to be disappointed.

Jasper County Circuit Court Judge Gayle Crane has set the trial date for August 31, 2015 with a backup date of November 30, 2015.

Masters was rehired as Royal Heights principal for the 2010-2011 school year, but following a closed session of the board that offer was rescinded. Masters says that lies were told about him that caused him to lose his job.
