More thunderstorms on the way for Joplin area

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED HAIL RISK.
  ELEVATED FLOODING RISK.
  SIGNIFICANT LIGHTNING RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH ACROSS FAR
  SOUTHERN MISSOURI THIS MORNING. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORM
  DEVELOPMENT WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON. THESE STORMS WILL
  PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL. WIND GUSTS TO 50 MPH WILL BE
  POSSIBLE IN THE STRONGER STORMS.

  SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP TONIGHT. THESE STORMS WILL
  PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL ALONG WITH A LIMITED RISK OF HAIL
  TO THE SIZE OF QUARTERS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY.

  THE CHANCE OF THUNDERSTORMS WILL LINGER WEDNESDAY MAINLY FROM
  CENTRAL MISSOURI INTO THE EASTERN MISSOURI OZARKS.

  AFTERNOON HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL REACH THE MID AND UPPER 90S
  WEDNESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

  ANOTHER FRONT WILL BRING A CHANCE FOR THUNDERSTORMS FRIDAY AND
  SATURDAY.
