Scorching heat this week, thunderstorms likely at end of week

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF THE MISSOURI
OZARKS AND EXTREME SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

WEATHER HAZARDS EXPECTED...

  LIMITED LIGHTNING RISK.
  ELEVATED EXCESSIVE HEAT RISK.

DISCUSSION...

  HEAT INDICES WILL RANGE FROM 100 TO 107 DEGREES ONCE AGAIN THIS
  AFTERNOON.

  A FEW ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON
  ACROSS THE EASTERN OZARKS. HOWEVER...MOST LOCATIONS WILL REMAIN
  DRY.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...TUESDAY THROUGH SUNDAY.

  HOT AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE INTO MID WEEK.
  HEAT INDEX VALUES WILL RANGE FROM 100 TO 107 DEGREES ON AN
  AFTERNOON BASIS THROUGH AT LEAST TUESDAY. A HEAT ADVISORY
  REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE OUTLOOK AREA THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY
  EVENING.

  A FEW AFTERNOON THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE TUESDAY AND
  WEDNESDAY. MORE WIDESPREAD RAIN AND THUNDERSTORM CHANCES WILL
  ARRIVE LATE IN THE WEEK INTO NEXT WEEKEND.
