Joplin Globe story on JHS inspection was press release

As noted earlier on the Turner Report, the article in the Sunday Joplin Globe on the failure of the new Joplin High School building to pass its city inspection Friday, did not mention the failure, but indicated that Superintendent C. J. Huff and his administrative team had decided to postpone moving items into the building because of some concerns.

That information appears to have come from a news release from the school district. The telltale sign is the byline on the story, which reads "From Staff Reports." That is usually an indication that the staff did not have anything to do with it, other than perhaps copying and pasting it, or making a few style changes.

KOAM, which used the same information, confirmedthat the district failed its inspection

It's the best they can do, really. They ran off any good investigative reporters years ago, and the reporters they have now don't know how to ask the right questions. Waste of money.
